Editorial : About the Author Chris Barron was born and raised in Southern California. He is a gifted and versatile composer, arranger, and keyboardist who has worked with the likes of Michael MacDonald, Leon Ware, Jimmy Haslip of Yellowjackets, Chuck Negron, and salsa legend Celia Cruz. His career includes some television work as principle pianist on Universal s Home and Family Show playing for various guest star artists, plus performing behind Broadway stars Lisa Richard of Mama Mia, and Susan Egan of Beauty and the Beast fame as well as WB s Nikki. Chris is currently performing and/or recording with The Banda Bros. Jazz Sextet with world renowned Ramon and Tony Banda, Jose Rizo s Jazz on the Latin All-Stars Big Band featuring Justo Almario, Marvin Smitty Smith (Tonight Show Band), and Alex Acuna, The Poncho Sanchez Latin Jazz Band, and at Mariners Church in Irvine, California where he has been the Music Director since 2002. Chris is also moving into scoring for film and television.
