I ordered both books availible on this topic and found this one to be far more practical and user friendly. My professor constantly remarked on there being hundreds of books he could choose from for this class, but he picked this one because of it's layout of the 12 areas. They have never even seen it. When we started our Butterfly study and grew them in a netted house, the children liked watching them and were able to color and make up different colors from the copies I had form the designs in this kit. The way I see it is, somebody somewhere knows what's going on, so who am I to make difficulties?'"

Now, I realize that I don't read Holt for depth. It was a simpler age, with simple pleasures: safe hitchiking, swimming in the creek, barn-raisings, ice cream and County Fairs.
