Barton C. Hacker is Laboratory Historian at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and author of The Dragon's Tail: Radiation Safety in the Manhattan Project, 1942-1946 (California, 1987).
Unforgettable congressional hearings in 1978 revealed that fallout from American nuclear weapons testing in the 1950s had overexposed hundreds of soldiers and other citizens to radiation. That all being said, the writing was excellent. I am a graduate student in the field of geochemistry and I strongly recommend this book. Hats off to an artist of the written word who can cross gender, nationality, and age lines to portray a most convincing character. It works well both for Realms and Planescape players. She's more of a stage hand than a character in the play. This problem is a deal breaker for me, as I buy these things to keep track of interior design decisions, and you can't hold the book against fabric, etc. If you want to get a high-level picture of what web application scalability entails, this is the book to read. For folks in the DC-area, I found this book at the Martin Luther King Memorial Library, within the DC Public Libraries. And the friend of the Red Man. It is HER story, well-written, and this is exactly what makes it so hard
